Today’s music

Sunday night is the night I look forward to listening to Sounds Eclectic while preparing for my weekly Monday morning client meeting. Nick Harcourt plays not-yet-released and demo cuts as well as commercially available music by excellent artists. (Even the musicians that don’t suit me are good.) He rarely fails to turn me on to an exciting artist. Madelaine Peyroux is a recent example.)

Handwriting — Rachel’s

Songs for Drella — Lou Reed / John Cale

I hate being odd in a small town
If they stare let them stare in New York City
at this pink eyed painting albino
How far can my fantasy go? — Smalltown

Better quote:

Sometimes when I can’t decide what I should do
I think what would Andy have said
He’d probably say you think to much
That’s ’cause there’s work that you don’t want to do — Work (Emphasis my own)
